HUD Secretary Turner Testifies on FY 27 HUD Funding Before House Panel

The testimony also emphasizes program integrity, including HUD’s focus on payment accuracy, oversight, data analysis, and improper payment prevention. HUD Publishes Memo Announcing the End of Restore-Rebuild Initiative

The memo outlines how this change will affect current Restore-Rebuild transactions based on where a PHA is in the process.

  • HUD is not accepting requests for new Notices of Anticipated RAD Rents (NARRs).
  • HUD will continue processing NARRs that were submitted before May 12, 2026 (the date of the memo), and
  • If the PHA has received a NARR or receives a NARR after this memo, it will be void after 90 days unless the PHA meets one of several criteria outlined in the memo.

HUD Publishes Guidance to Align CPD Programs for Opportunity Zone Investment

House Passes Amended 21st Century ROAD to Housing Act

FY25 CoC Program Awards Announced for Q3 and Q4

More than $2.4 billion in funding was announced for projects with start dates in quarters three (Q3) and four (Q4) of the calendar year. This follows recent court proceedings, which announced HUD’s commitment to release Q3 and Q4 renewals.

HUD’s Office of Housing Sends EIV Citizen Verification Tool Bulletin

Project-Based Rental Assistance (PBRA) owners and agents must access their EIV-SAVE Tenant Matching Report and verify any discrepancies contained within it by June 20, 2026, thirty days from the date of HUD’s May 21, 2026 message.

FY25 ROSS Awards Announced

HUD Sends Email on HOTMA Sections 102 and 104 Compliance – Reiterates Jan. 1, 2027 Enforcement Deadline

All transactions for applicable PHAs with an effective date of January 1, 2027 or later must be HOTMA compliant …. all PHAs should be preparing to implement HOTMA sections 102 and 104 by updating their administrative plans, admissions and continued occupancy policies, and forms (including recertification packets, verification forms, etc.).
