June 2, 2026 — HUD has announced $37 million in FY 2025 Resident Opportunities and Self-Sufficiency (ROSS) program funding, with grants awarded to 114 organizations across the country.

The funding will support the placement of service coordinators in communities nationwide, helping residents identify and achieve goals that promote self-sufficiency and economic mobility. The ROSS program serves a broad range of populations, including public housing residents, Tribal communities and Tribally Designated Housing Entities (TDHEs), residents of multifamily housing, seniors, and individuals with disabilities.

FY 2025 awards were released later than anticipated, but NAHRO is pleased to see the funding awards announced and available to support residents and communities nationwide.
