This roundtable session will provide a candid and engaging forum for commissioners serving on housing authorities and housing development boards to share experiences, challenges, and practical solutions. An interactive dialogue, we discuss solutions for common board obstacles, while exploring subjects such as commissioner responsibilities, effective board governance, leadership, oversight, and more. Participants will have an opportunity to exchange ideas, discuss emerging issues, while learning from the experiences of peer commissioners from different communities. We will encourage open dialogue around board dynamics, relationships with executive leadership, resident engagement, community partnerships, accountability, and navigating the ever-evolving landscape of affordable housing.
