July 25, 2025 — On Thursday, the administration released an Executive Order that commits to addressing our nation’s growing homelessness crisis, but focuses on criminalization and institutionalization instead of providing housing and supportive services. 

America needs funding and resources for more affordable homes and programs to help people attain stability and self-sufficiency. Unfortunately, this Executive Order does nothing to help address that need. Now is the time for housing solutions, not penalties and punishment. NAHRO and its members remain committed to thriving communities with affordable homes for all.
