May 23, 2025 — On May 22, HUD released Notice PIH-2025-14 titled “Guidance on the Administration, Accurate Reporting, and Use of Public Housing Operating Funds.” The Notice provides guidelines on the use of Public Housing Operating Funds and provides additional information on general depository agreement requirements. The guidelines include changes for reporting certain FDS lines as well as important clarifications, refinements, and modifications to FDS reporting. The notice also includes best practices on financial management and internal controls. The notice can be found here.
