This session explores what effective board governance looks like. We will identify common barriers limiting the HA’s significance, and negative impactors of agency’s performance and public trust. Participants will discover how succession planning strengthens continuity, supports sustainability, and prepares future agency leadership through identifying key roles and investing in employee development. Lastly, it will highlight key practical strategies to build a culture of leadership readiness, ensuring boards stay effective, informed, and proactively positioned to meet ever-evolving community needs.
