This session provides a high-level overview of the Low-Income Housing Tax Credit (LIHTC) application and development process. It is designed to help participants understand the general steps involved from initial planning to early compliance.
Participants will gain a clearer understanding of how to select the appropriate credit type (4% or 9%), align their application with their state’s Qualified Allocation Plan (QAP), and work effectively with the State Housing Finance Agency (HFA). The session will walk through major project milestones and introduce key concepts related to long-term compliance.
