Across the country, demand for homeownership far exceeds the supply of affordable opportunities for moderate- and low-income households. In Denver, the Single Family+ Homeownership initiative is a partnership between the Denver Housing Authority, Friends of DHA, and the City’s Department of Housing Stability (HOST) to expand affordable ownership and reduce involuntary displacement. This session will explore how DHA leverages ADUs, public land, innovative construction, community land trusts, and new lending tools; how Friends of DHA provides resident services and financial coaching to prepare homebuyers; and how HOST advances policies and strategies that increase equitable access to homeownership across Denver.
