NAHRO knows that youth are our greatest resource for driving positive change – that’s why our training motto is: “It begins with YOUth!”
This session equips Housing and Community Development professionals with tools to engage underrepresented youth – especially students of color, low-income students, and those from rural communities in housing careers.
We’ll also explore the role of cultural humility and cultural competency, highlighting the difference between learning about others (competency) and engaging in lifelong self-reflection and awareness (humility). Both are essential for building inclusive, effective youth programs and shaping the future of housing.
