NAHRO Leaders, Staff Thank Mike Gerber 

On May 2, Mike Gerber will end his term as interim NAHRO CEO and Mark Thiele will step in as NAHRO CEO.  

NAHRO President Patricia Wells and NAHRO Senior Vice President George Guy made the following statement: 

“On behalf of NAHRO’s Board of Governors and nearly 20,000 members nationwide, we thank Mike Gerber for his service as NAHRO’s interim CEO. Over the past ten months, he’s led the organization through a leadership transition and a worldwide pandemic, and has worked with staff to ensure that NAHRO continues to provide the high level of information, analysis, training and resources that we depend on. He’s also been instrumental in keeping NAHRO healthy and ensuring its continued position as the leading affordable housing and community development membership organization in the country. We also thank the board and leadership of the Housing Authority of the City of Austin (HACA) for generously sharing Mike with our national association in its time of need.” 

The NAHRO staff also thanks Mike for his leadership, warmth and dedication, and wishes him the best.
