NAHRO 2027 Biennial Election: Are You Willing to Lead?

Do you want to lead NAHRO during the next biennium? Do you have a clear and compelling vision for NAHRO’s future? Are you willing to commit to harnessing the experience, skills, and energy of the NAHRO community to lead our association forward? 

The candidacy declaration period is now open for the 2027-2029 term of NAHRO President and Senior Vice President! Interested NAHRO members — either benefit recipients/associates of organizational members or allied individual members — are encouraged to communicate their intent to run for office by emailing the NAHRO Nominating and Election (N&E) Committee chair David Lange at both director@paragouldha.com and election@nahro.org.

The N&E Committee, which is comprised of two representatives from each Regional Council, oversees the campaign and election process and the implementation and enforcement of the Guidelines for National Office Campaigns, as part of its duties specified in Article VII of the NAHRO Constitution. 

Campaigning for NAHRO President or Senior Vice President may not begin until the National Conference and Exhibition in Denver, October 15-17, 2026. Once declared, candidates have until September 18, 2026 to:

• Request campaign space at the conference as well as the opportunity to introduce themselves during a conference plenary session; and
• Submit an ad for inclusion in the conference app.

Following the National Conference, NAHRO will provide numerous opportunities for voters to get to know the candidates in-person at conference settings and through features in The NAHRO Monitor and on the NAHRO website. 

The 2027-2029 election will be held from late Summer to early Fall 2027. NAHRO members will be provided with either an electronic or paper ballot to cast their vote, and the results will be announced at the 2027 National Conference and Exhibition in Las Vegas, October 28-30.
