This session will provide a broad overview of the impact use of illicit drugs in residential housing programs has had on The Housing Authority of the City of Pueblo. Methamphetamine contamination and mandated cleanup have provided occupancy and financial challenges for the agency, as well as impacted vacancy rates and the turnover time for vacant units. The Housing Authority of the City of Pueblo has met this challenge head on and has been a leader in the State of Colorado to mitigate the cleanup of contaminated units.
