HUD Announces Reopening of FY24-25 CoC NOFO

On January 9, 2026, HUD announced on their website the reopening of the FY24-25 Contiuum of Care (CoC) program Notice of Funding Opportunity (NOFO). Applications are due by February 9, 2026.

The announcement reveals that application forms and materials will be available on e-snaps no later than January 16, 2026. It also mentions that HUD anticipates being able to select awards no later than late March 2026.

This comes after a temporary court order by a federal judge, which requires HUD to take necessary steps to process eligible renewals for FY25 CoC funding under the FY24-25 CoC NOFO. On HUD’s website, they state they will accept eligible renewal project applications, YHDP renewal and replacement applications, and CoC reallocations for the prior year NOFO.

According to HUD, projects that were awarded FY24 funds and are not being reallocated or replaced by the CoC, may be eligible for selection for FY25 funds using their FY24 application submission if they choose to apply for renewal. All other applicants should find information to apply on e-snaps with further information to be communicated by HUD on their website and by mailing list.

Applicants should be aware that HUD still continues to show the FY25 CoC NOFO, which was released by HUD on December 20, 2025, however this NOFO seems to be paused with the FY24-25 NOFO taking its place.
