Senate Confirms HUD Assistant Secretaries

On January 15, two key HUD officials were sworn in by HUD Secretary Turner as Assistant Secretaries for Public and Indian Housing and for Community Planning and Development. Assistant Secretary Ben Hobbs will continue leading HUD’s Office of Public and Indian Housing, while Assistant Secretary Ronald Kurtz will lead the Office of Community Planning and Development at the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development. Both Assistant Secretaries bring extensive experience in housing and community development to their roles. 

NAHRO congratulates Assistant Secretary Hobbs and looks forward to continuing our strong working relationship with him. We also welcome Assistant Secretary Kurtz to the Department and look forward to collaborating with him to advance housing and community development priorities in the year ahead.
