May 30, 2025 — On May 29, HUD published Housing Notice H-2025-03, extending compliance with the HOTMA final rule to January 1, 2026. This notice revises the date of full compliance with the Housing Opportunity Through Modernization Act of 2016 (HOTMA) Sections 102 and 104 to the new January 2026 date. Initially, H-2023-10 required full compliance by 1/1/2025 and H-2024-09 extended the compliance date to July 1, 2025. This notice applies to owners of Multifamily Housing, not to participants in Office of Public and Indian Housing (PIH) programs.
