Take Your FSS Program to the Next Level!

The Family Self Sufficiency (FSS) program has an increasing track record of success at housing agencies across the nation. NAHRO is proud to offer a series of convenient online trainings to help agencies implement new FSS programs and improve existing ones.

Family Self Sufficiency (Monday, Feb. 6-Friday, Feb. 10) is a 360-degree overview that explores the program from a case manager’s point of view. Participants will build skills reviewing forms, calculating escrow, evaluating program success and understanding reporting requirements, and examine the roles of program partners, the agency, the program coordinating committee, accounting and the community. This comprehensive training provides everything needed to develop and support a compliant and successful FSS program!

FSS: A Holistic Approach to Client Engagement (Wednesday, Feb. 15-Thursday, Feb. 16) will cover client assessment, goal setting and effective case management. Participants will also explore ways to individualize goals for the Individual Training and Service Plans (ITSPs) of the families served, effectively engage with clients through active listening, and build ability to apply motivational interviewing and trauma-informed care.
