Presenting: The New International Research and Global Exchange Award

Since 1983, the International Research and Global Exchange Award has recognized a person who has had a significant international impact in the housing and community development industry. This notable award was formerly named in honor of John D. Lange, the Executive Director of NAHRO from 1951 – 1970, who actively engaged with the international community during and after his professional career.

Recent recipients of the award include:

• 2019: Michel Sudarskis – Secretary General, International Urban Development Association (INTA)
• 2018: Robert Cohen – Consultant
• 2017: Elizabeth “Liz” Glenn, Principal, Sustainable Community Development
• 2016: Jaime Bordenave, President, The Communities Group
• 2015: Kerron Barnes, IRGE Member

This year’s nomination process is underway. To qualify, each award nominee must have a direct affiliation with the housing and community development field and has made an outstanding contribution in providing, promoting, or developing housing throughout the international community. This year’s recipient will be honored at the NAHRO National Conference & Exhibition in Orlando, Florida.
