If so\, this training is for you.  \n\n\nRegardless of housing type\, managing staff\, budgets and outcomes is a challenging job.  We want to help you successfully manage your maintenance program and meet your agency’s expectations.  This training is not specific to any housing program\, or funding source\, instead focusing on key areas and strategies for efficient and effective maintenance operations.  \n\n\nProactively\, effectively\, and efficiently managing your maintenance program is key to preserving housing assets\, ensuring compliance\, and meeting your organization’s strategic goals\, regardless of program or subsidy type.  \n\n\nThis training will provide Maintenance Supervisors\, Property Managers\, Lead Maintenance Technicians and other key staff with the essential knowledge and skills to identify property goals and needs\, ensure preventative maintenance is performed\, manage day-to-day operations\, supervise and train employees\, and create and implement effective maintenance and emergency plans.  \n\n\nIf you manage a maintenance program for Public Housing or a mix of Public Housing and other housing programs\, we recommend you register for the ”Managing Public Housing Maintenance” training\, which will include everything covered in this training along with Public Housing specific information.

SUMMARY:Family Self-Sufficiency
DESCRIPTION:The Family Self Sufficiency (FSS) program is an amazing program designed to enable PHA participants to achieve economic independence by leveraging public and private resources. \nIn this training we will view the program from all perspectives starting from the regulations that are the foundation of the program and the Action Plan\, which provides the administrative framework for the program. We will explore the program through the lens of a case manager who runs the program\, delving into the role of the program partners\, the supports from the PHA/Agency\, the Program Coordinating Committee\, accounting and the community. \nWe’ll work on our motivational interviewing skills and explore goal setting techniques to \nBuild your interviewing skills and completing the Individual Training and Services Plan (ITSP)\, calculating escrow\, evaluating your programs success and understanding reporting requirements. \nYou will also acquire the skills and knowledge needed to develop and support a compliant\, successful and innovative FSS program. This training is compliant and updated to the recent FSS Final Rule and potential HOTMA impacts.
