The asset management model added new levels of responsibility and accountability for asset and property managers.   \nWhether you’re a new or experienced property/asset manager\, you’ll leave with a strong foundation for your asset and public housing management.  Topics include asset management and preservation\, occupancy\, operations\, property finances\, Public Housing Assessment System (PHAS)\, and resident relations.  \nObjectives\nAfter completing this training\, participants will be able to:   \nRecognize the primary roles and responsibilities of today’s PHM\nIdentify requirements and options for structuring your team\, maximizing revenue\, monitoring your budget and improving day to day operations\nDiscover strategies to improve your PHAS scores by understanding PHAS indicators and scoring criteria\nManage key occupancy functions including screening\, marketing\, lease enforcement\, maintenance\, rent collections\, eligibility and resident relations\nIdentify ongoing and preventative maintenance issues and actively work to preserve your assets while also improving your PHAS scores\nEffectively supervise and manage their employees

Exploring various models to setting goals with participants and effectively creating and laying them out in the Individual Training and Services Plan. We will discuss strategies to effectively engaging with participants through active listening exercises\, skills and learning.   \nWe will focus on building staff skills through education\, developing techniques to apply motivational interviewing and trauma informed care.  \nObjectives\nAfter completing this training\, participants will be able to:   \nKnow the regulations and goals of the FSS program\nEffectively recruit participants\nDevelop techniques to effectively assess clients\nIdentify client barriers and match with appropriate resources\nApply motivational interviewing techniques\nLearn the different goal setting strategies\nSupport clients in setting holistic goals\nBe able to build successful client relationships\nEffectively case manage and apply the principles of Trauma Informed care
